Hayes, Thomas and You promoted; Engler earns emerita status

午夜福利精品福利鈥檚 Board of Trustees Educational Affairs Committee approved the promotion to associate professor for Josh Hayes (Philosophy) and the promotion to full professor status for Nathan Thomas (Theatre) and Di You (Psychology) following their recommendation from the Faculty鈥檚 Rank and Tenure Committee.

ELLEN ENGLER
Engler has been an associate professor at Alvernia since 1986. She has been instrumental in the development of community service programs at Alvernia with her efforts dating back in the early 1990s. She helped Alvernia gain recognition by the Templeton Foundation and others as among the leaders in the country in establishing a graduation requirement for service.

Promoted to full professor status, You has been with Alvernia since 2007. You currently teaches Introduction to Psychology, Exploring Research, Close Relationships, Scientific Methods in Behavioral Science and has research interests in moral development, professional ethics, diversity and multiculturalism.

NATHAN THOMAS
Thomas, who was promoted to a full professor, has been lecturing at Alvernia since 2003 and currently serves as the theatre program director. His background includes extensive work as a professional actor and director as well as international study. As an actor, Thomas has given more than 500 performances in national tours.

JOSH HAYES
Hayes, who received tenure in addition to his promotion to associate professor, has been a philosophy faculty member at Alvernia since 2013. He is an active member of the Ancient Philosophy Society having served as a member of the Program Committee, Society for Phenomenology and Existential Philosophy, International Association of Environmental Philosophy, American Philosophical Association, and a founding member and editor of JPACT, Journal of the Pacific Association of the Continental Tradition.
