Ready to apply to Alvernia? Students can apply at any time. Through a rolling admission process, we continually review applications and accept students. Start dates will vary by degree type and academic program. Our admissions teams will work with you to determine the optimal time for you to commence taking classes.
Doctoral Programs
- Doctor of Occupational Therapy
午夜福利精品福利鈥檚 post-professional Doctor of Occupational Therapy (OTD) is the highest level of formal education available to entry-level occupational therapists. The doctorate, which focuses on program development, prepares therapists to address the occupational needs of people of all ages with a broad exposure to traditional and community-based practice settings and areas.
- Doctor of Philosophy in Leadership
This program is designed for working professionals who are emerging leaders in their field. The executive design allows students to complete the program in as little as three years by completing coursework and while working on their dissertation. The program is ideal for those who have completed a master鈥檚 degree at an accredited institution, with an option available for those who have reached all but dissertation (A.B.D.) status at another institution and wish to complete their doctorate at Alvernia.
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) Program

The Ed.D. in Transformative Education is grounded in the belief that meaningful educational change begins with the transformation of the educator. We define transformative education as a process that empowers educational practitioners to lead change, respond to change and undergo change 鈥 personally and professionally.

- Master of Arts in Clinical Counseling
MACC is a CACREP-accredited program for adult students committed to upholding the highest standards in professional mental health and addictions counseling. The MACC program prepares students to address complicated issues of social justice and healthy functioning with an approach that combines theory, technique and hands-on practical experiences.
- Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership
The Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership program prepares professionals to meet the unique leadership challenges of the 21st century and effectively lead teams, groups, and organizations in a complex and dynamic global environment. The Master of Education in Educational Leadership is a 33-credit program designed for educators aspiring to gain a leadership position in educational institutions.
- Master of Education with Principal Certification
The Master of Education with Principal (PK-12) Certification Program is designed to enhance the scholarly and professional development of classroom teachers who aspire to gain an administrative position. Students graduate with a Master of Education degree and Principal Certification, which gives a strong impetus to their career development.
- Master of Education in Special Education
Master of Education in Special Education is a 33-credit program for teachers who seek a master's degree and/or leadership role in special education.
- Master of Education with Special Education Certification
Master of Education with Special Education Certification (Grades PK-12) is a 45-credit program for teachers who seek to expand their certification areas or for individuals who seek to change a career and become a certified PK-12 special education teacher.
- Master of Education in TESOL with optional ESL Program Specialist (PK-12) Certification
The Master of Education in Teaching English as a Second language (M.Ed. in TESOL) is a 34-credit program designed to prepare students and professionals to teach English as a Second Language in a wide range of educational contexts, both in the U.S. and abroad.
- Master of Science in Athletic Training

Pioneers in the mental health and addictions field of study, Alvernia aims to meet the rising need in social services driven by societal issues through its Master of Social Work (MSW) graduate program, developed with a specialized clinical practice in behavioral health. Topics of mental health and addiction are covered in human behavior, practice, research and policy courses. Fieldwork placements will offer students an opportunity to further their understanding of addiction and mental health through direct practice.

Financial Aid
At Alvernia, applying for financial aid is easy. We encourage all prospective Alvernia students to apply, even if you feel you may not be eligible for assistance. The Office of Student Financial Services is available to answer questions about tuition and residential costs and guide you through any financial aid situation.
Tuition Deferment Program
Learn more about tuition deferment for graduate and continuing studies students who have an employer reimbursement program. Alvernia students can postpone payment for classes for up to 30 days after the end of the semester while waiting for employer to reimburse them.
Veterans' Benefits

Non-Degree Students
- How to Apply
午夜福利精品福利's non-degree option is designed to meet the needs of students with specific and defined educational goals, which may include personal or professional enrichment, exploration of new fields, or preparation for career changes. It's also for students who wish to take courses at Alvernia, but do not plan to be formally accepted to a degree program.
To find out what courses are available for this option, a student can obtain a list of courses from Graduate and Adult Education. Please note that students who wish to take a course as a non-degree student must meet the prerequisites for the course and obtain the approval of the admissions coordinator or Dean. Not all programs are eligible for non-degree status.
A student must submit a completed registration form, with signed approval by the admissions coordinator or dean, to Graduate and Adult Education. Forms without the required signatures will not be accepted for registration.
