Project 6庐, a Powered by O鈥橮ake initiative
What is Project 6?
Higher education and industry operate at different speeds. The particular intersections where industry and higher education meet is where Project 6 lies. Companies often have resources to execute on projects, but lack the time to do so. Higher education, specifically 午夜福利精品福利 and The O'Pake Institute, has the unique experience to identify and ample time and skill to execute on said projects.
Why is a Project 6 important?
On any to-do list, the 鈥渇irst five鈥 projects are of high priority and time sensitive. The sixth project on this list is still important and necessary to complete, however, they typically do not have adequate bandwidth to complete it. Thus, with the help of O鈥橮ake Institute Fellows, these Project 6 project(s) will be identified and completed. Additionally, this gives the Fellows experiential learning opportunity.
Why are we qualified?
Rodney Ridley 鈥 O'Pake's chief operating officer Alvernia's chief economic, community and strategic development officer 鈥 has more than 30 years of industry and higher education experience. Ridley, along with members of the O'Pake Leadership team, have successfully completed numerous Project 6 projects that have lead them to develop this model. The team consists of a diverse group of undergraduate Fellows and partners like and the .
How do we uniquely execute your company's Project 6?
The goal is for O鈥橮ake鈥檚 Fellows, staff, and mentor network to provide the best work they can in a timely fashion that coordinates with their school and work schedules. For example, a #3 project on the priorities list is typically too time sensitive for the university to work on and #9 project usually lacks priority and resources, which makes those projects difficult to complete. Thus, by completing the Project 6 project(s), the O'Pake team will still be able to make a significant contribution to the company while Fellows ultimately obtain experiential learning opportunities.
Why is a Project 6 difficult to identify?
Most universities are unable to identify industry projects to get their students/faculty involved in. Most companies are not able to successfully partner with institutes of higher education because of Institute's of higher education (IHE'S) unique method of operation. Typically, IHE's ask for projects too high on the list and the lack of trust from the company results in them giving projects too low on the list. The O'Pake team, that has more than 30 years of experience in both higher education and industry, is able to effectively align companies and universities around the right project(s).
"The O'Pake Institute, with its vast network of partners and mentors along with Alvernia's highly qualified faculty, is the reason behind being able to successfully identify these projects. Identification of these projects is the essentially secret sauce for the company."
